Any incident in which one of our officers, members of staff or volunteers is abused, threatened or assaulted in circumstances relating to their work is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
Police colleagues deal with difficult and challenging incidents on a daily basis. They do so in order to protect the vulnerable, keep communities safe, respond to calls, and to prevent and detect crime.
It is never acceptable for them to be abused, threatened or assaulted - and anyone who does so should expect to face the consequences of their behaviour.
