Please may you provide me with: the latest information held on crime relating to tool theft in the North Yorkshire area between October 2023 and October 2024 (or the most recent 12-month period you have available).

Information should include,

Q1) Total number of instances of tool theft reported across the year

Q2) Total value of tools theft reported across the year

Q3) Average value of tools theft reported within the year timeframe

Q4) Any additional breakdown of where the tool theft took place (for example, number of thefts from vehicles, number from home, number from a workplace, number from a construction site)

Q1, Q2 & Q4. Please see the table below showing the total number of theft crimes recorded where ‘machinery or tools’ are listed as stolen against the crime between 01 October 2023 to 30 September 2024, broken down by MO location.

*Please note, the value of tool/machinery stolen is not mandatorily recorded. Where it has been recorded it has been included in the above figure.
