Q1. Do the first responders from your force use the Domestic Abuse Risk Assessment (DARA) tool when responding to domestic abuse incidents? YES / NO. 

Q2. Have all operational staff in your force completed the Domestic Abuse Matters course since December 2015? YES / NO. If yes – how many times? And what percentage of the force have completed the course since December 2015?

Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police. I can confirm that some of the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police.

I have today decided to disclose the following information to you.

Q1. No.

Q2. No. The percentage of staff who have completed the Domestic Abuse Matter course is not held, however, we can confirm that over 1100 officers and staff have completed it. All student officers receive the training as part of their crime week and any free spaces are allocated to those on the nominated list who are yet to receive it. Those who have received the training have received it once.
