Request
Q1. According to 0681.2024-25, 60 women were arrested for assaulting an emergency worker between 2020 and 2024. How many of those arrests were made when a "domestic incident" was recorded as part of the arrest.
Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police.
Decision
I have today decided to disclose the following information to you.
Q1. The data provided in response to request 0681.2024-25 related to the number of 08/73 Assault or assault by beating of an emergency worker (except a constable) crimes recorded between 1 January 2020 and 9 December 2024 with the involvement of a female offender. Please note that the crimes may not have resulted in an arrest.
Of those crimes, we have checked to see if any are recorded with a domestic qualifier and there are no results. Please note that if the Police are called to a domestic incident, this is likely to be recorded as one incident and then the assault against an emergency worker will be recorded separately and linked via the associated cases tab on the Police systems.
We have also checked related crimes which have the same occurrence date as the crimes of Assault or assault by beating of an emergency worker (except a constable). There are two results where a related crime has a domestic marker.
Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data. It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
