Q1. The internal ICT procedure for restricting access to professional standards systems for officers subject to a complaint who work in professional standards.

Q2. Where this procedure isn’t available, any related internal procedure for restricting access to internal systems.

Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information

To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by North Yorkshire Police.  

If an officer is the subject of a complaint this would be investigated by the Professional Standards Department. If it is deemed that they pose a risk via their employment the officer would be suspended pending an investigation and would therefore not have access to any police systems.

Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data.  It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
