Q1. How many home burglaries/residential burglaries have been reported to the force in the last three years? Broken down by calendar years (January 1st-December 31st, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24. 

Q1a) For those reported in the last year alone, (Jan 1st-Dec 31st, 2023/24), can these be broken down by area? 

Q1b) For those reported in the last year alone, how many resulted in a charge outcome? 

Q1c) For those reported in the last year alone, how many were considered ‘violent’ i.e. a weapon was present and/or injuries were sustained?

Decision
I have today decided to disclose the following information to you.

Q1 & Q1a). Please see the table below showing the number of residential burglaries reported to North Yorkshire Police in the period 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2024, broken down by calendar year and Safer Neighbourhood Command (SNC) area.

Q1b). There were 47 reports in the period 1 January to 31 December 2024 which resulted in a charge/summonsed outcome.

Q1c). Please note that to provide the number of reported residential burglaries which involved injuries would require a manual review, however, please see the table below showing the number of reports in the period 1 January to 31 December 2024 which were classified as ‘violent’ and ‘non-violent’.
