I have today decided to disclose the following information to you.

Q1. Please see the tables below showing the number of reported crimes of ‘Owner or person in charge allowing dog to be dangerously out of control in any place injuring any person or assistance dog’ since 1 January 2019, broken down by calendar year. Where held, I have also provided the breed associated with the crime.

I have provided a distinct count of occurrence number (for example, where there is more than one dog associated with a crime this will be recorded separately but for the purposes of the below data, only one crime has been recorded).

Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data.  It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
