Q1. A guide to the recruitment vetting process specifically for the vetting of members of the public who have made a complaint against police.

• Where a publication does not exist relating to this, then a statement from vetting as to how they access professional standards systems during the recruitment process for applicants who have made an existing complaint against police, who have no previous service in policing themselves.

Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information

To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is not held by North Yorkshire Police.  

I note that the rest of your request is not valid under the FOI act. In order for a request to be valid under Section 8(1)(c) of the Freedom of Information Act, the request must ‘clearly describe the information being sought’, and refer to ‘records capable of recovery in any form’. This can be ‘recorded information held in written records, typed, handwritten, emails etc’. The request you have submitted does not ask for specific information, instead, it asks for a statement.
