FOI 0973-2025/26- Puberty blockers

This query is in relation to the ban on puberty blockers for transgender / non binary minors, which was made on 3 June 2024 and extended indefinitely on 11 December 2024.

The government's own edict on this states "“It will also be a criminal offence to possess these medicines, where the individual had reasonable cause to know that the medicine had been sold or supplied in breach of the ban.”"

1) Number of people reported to North Yorkshire police for illegal possesson of puberty blockers?

2) Number of people charged with illegal possession of puberty blockers?

3) Relationship between the people making the reports and those reported for illegal possession of puberty blockers, if known?

Q1. A search has been carried out of crimes under section 67 of the Medicines Act (HO Code 84/11) between 01 June 2024 and 02 January 2025, to which there were zero results.
