FOI 0205-2025/26 Vivastreet Investigations

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I am requesting the following information for the time period 1 January 2015 to 4 April 2025: 

Q1.  The total number of data requests North Yorkshire Police has made to the website Vivastreet as part of its investigations into potential criminality connected to a prostitution advert on the website. 

For your reference, South Wales Police established that they have recorded 28 data requests to Vivastreet in the time period via the following method: "We consulted with our Crime and Criminal justice unit who have provided the following information regarding your request. A search has been conducted on our crime and incident reporting system (NICHE RMS) for all occurrences recorded throughout the specified time period containing one of the following key words, *Vivastreet* and *Viva street*. Additionally relevant operational teams who conduct enquiries in this area were also contacted to retrieve any information they held in relation to this request. All results retrieved were individually interrogated to establish relevance to your request."

Extent and Result of Searches to Locate Information
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police.

I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police.

I have today decided to disclose the following information to you.

Q1. North Yorkshire Police have approached Vivastreet / Viva Street on 10 occasions between the date periods requested.
