Q1. I would like to know how many reports were made of weapon possession in schools. 

Q2. I would also like to know how many reports were made of attacks involving blades or sharp instruments in schools.

For each of these requests I would like a breakdown of the figures by the years 2014,2015,2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.

Q1. Please see the table below showing the number of possession of weapon crimes recorded in the period 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2024, broken down by calendar year, where the MO location is School. Please note that this data includes the following categories of possession:

Please see the table below showing the number of crimes where the weapon used field is populated with ‘bladed implement’ and the MO location is School, in the period 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2024, broken down by year. Possession of weapon crimes have been excluded from this dataset, as this data has been provided above.

Please note that systems used for recording information are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data.  It should be noted therefore that this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other responses you may receive.
