Please provide answers to the following questions for both 2023 (full year), and separately for 2024 up to and including 31 August:
 
Q1. Of all the speeding offences recorded in your force area, what was the highest speed recorded?
Q2. What was the speed limit of the road where this highest speed was recorded?
Q3. At what time of day was this highest speed recorded?
Q4. On which stretch of road was this highest speed recorded?
Q5. Of all the speeding offences recorded in your force area on roads with a 20mph limit, what was the highest speed recorded?
Q6. Of all the speeding offences recorded in your force area on roads with a 30mph limit, what was the highest speed recorded?

To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within North Yorkshire Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by North Yorkshire Police.

In relation to Q5 North Yorkshire Police do not enforce the 20mph speed limit.
