Q1. For the period fiscal year 2023-2024, how many offences of rape charged under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 were recorded as having been committed by a male, or where the suspect is recorded as male.

Q2. As above, but recorded as having been committed by a female or where the suspect is recorded as female.

Q3. For the period fiscal year 2022-2023, as at Q1.

Q4. For the period fiscal year 2022-2023, as at Q2.

Q5. For the period fiscal year 2021-2022, as at Q1.

Q6. For the period fiscal year 2021-2022, as at Q2.

By way of explanation fiscal year is 01 April to 31 March, and Section 1 Rape is Rape of a Female aged 16 or over and Rape of a Female aged Under 16.

Further to my original request. I wish to clarify the information I am seeking.

In relation to each question I will require the following.

I will require both male and female victims to be included. This should therefore include the following.

19D Rape of a female child under 16

19E Rape of a female child under 13

19J Rape of a female – multiple undefined offenders

19F Rape of a male aged 16 and over

19G Rape of a male child under 16

19H Rape of a male child under 13

19K Rape of a male – multiple undefined offenders

Q1 – Q6. Please see the table below which details the number of rape offences as stated above recorded by North Yorkshire Police which have a charge outcome applied, from 01 April 2021 to 31 March 2024, broken down by fiscal year.

I note that all 111 suspects charged are recorded as male.
