Request:

I am writing under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request information regarding road traffic collisions recorded by your police force around the annual October clock change.

Please provide the following for the 1st September to 30th November inclusive in each year from 2021 to 2025:

Q1. The total number of recorded traffic collisions, broken down by day

Q2. A daily breakdown of these collisions by severity, such as fatal, serious or slight

Q3. Where readily available, a breakdown of daily figures by time of day, using hourly totals or time bands held in your system.

I am requesting aggregated figures only and do not require any personal information relating to individuals involved in these incidents.

If providing a daily or time-of-day breakdown would exceed the appropriate limit of the request, please prioritise the daily totals and severity breakdown. If daily figures cannot be provided within the limit, please provide weekly figures instead.

If any of the requested information is already publicly available, I would be grateful if you could direct me to the relevant dataset or publication.
