Request
For calendar years 2019 up to and including 2021, please provide the average police response times for 999 calls categorised as i) I grade ii) S grade and iii) E grade and broken down by local authority.
Which request you have further clarified to mean specifically;
-the average response times for an officer to attend an incident after the call has been made to the Force Control Room.
Response
North Yorkshire Police do record response time information which includes time from receipt of a call, to the time of first attendance by responding officers, which would be the closest match for your request following your clarification.
The calls are recorded as Immediate rural, immediate urban and priority. Reports that are categorised as ‘Scheduled’ are not recorded separately for average response times and would require a manual read to establish the length of time from the call to the officer attending a scheduled appointment, which would be exempt under S12.
In addition, we do not have a category of ‘E’ therefore we are unable to answer this part of your request.
The below table contains the relevant figures. I would draw your attention to the date ranges which are April to April, allowing for the most up to date information available.
