Gross Misconduct Hearing for an Officer

A misconduct hearing took place on 22nd and 23rd September 2026. Having considered medical evidence, the Chair of the hearing determined that it was to take place in private. He determined that there would be a significant risk of serious harm to the health of a third party  (who was not involved in the events to which the allegations relate) if the hearing or detailed findings were public. The panel made a finding of gross misconduct and that the officer would have been dismissed had they still been serving. They will be placed on the statutory police barred list.
