York traffic incident - appeal for food deliver driver to come forward who witnessed it

We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a road traffic incident in York.

It happened at 8pm on Friday (20 September 2024) and involved an unidentified vehicle.

A woman was waiting to cross at East Parade zebra crossing when a Deliveroo delivery driver stopped to let her do so.

At this time, another vehicle has overtaken the delivery driver through the crossing almost colliding with the woman pedestrian.

The delivery driver has possibly then attempted to catch up with the vehicle to obtain details, but it is not known if they ever did. 

We are appealing for help to locate the delivery driver and the driver of the unknown vehicle.
