Appeal following fatal road traffic collision near York

We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision which occurred York Road in Sutton on the Forest.  

It happened yesterday (Thursday 31 July 2205) at approximately 11am. A white DAF tanker goods vehicle collided with a grey Vauxhall Mokka.

Sadly, the driver of the Mokka, a 60-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed of the news and out thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

The road was closed for several hours to allow officers to investigate the scene and the vehicles involved to be recovered.

We’re appealing for any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicles prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to contact us.
