Police investigating a stabbing in York on 22 August have made further arrests.
A 25-year-old man from Leeds was arrested today (28 August) and taken into police custody for questioning in connection with the incident, where he currently remains.
The man in his fifties who was arrested shortly after the incident, has been released without charge.
In addition a 19-year-old man, also from Leeds, was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has since been released on conditional police bail while the investigation continues.
To recap, the incident happened at around 7.50pm on a cycle path near Derwent Avenue in York.
The victim, a man in his fifties was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries to his leg and abdomen.
To reiterate our previous information, we believe the incident was targeted and that the wider community were not at risk.

Key witnesses sought following York stabbing
We are appealing for witnesses in the Derwent Avenue area of York after a man was stabbed on Friday evening (22 August).
At around 7.50pm we responded to a call reporting that a man under a bridge on a cycle track had been injured.
The injured man, aged in his 50s and from York, was taken to hospital with leg and abdominal injuries where he remains in a serious condition.
A 51-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and taken into police custody for questioning.
We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward if they have not already spoken to the police.
In particular we would like to speak to two girls who were seen to walk from the direction of the incident and told a member of the public that someone had been injured.
The two girls and anyone with information is urged to call the police on 101.
