We are investigating an altercation that occurred at Boroughbridge Football Club yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 8 April 2026).
It happened at approximately 4pm and involved a group of young people and two adult men.
Officers swiftly attended and two men in their 40s were arrested on suspicion of affray.
They have since been released on bail as our enquiries continue.
Officers are now asking for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or who may have information that could assist the investigation, to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 12260062506.
We understand that incidents of this nature can cause concern within the community. To provide reassurance, officers will be carrying out high visibility patrols in the area over the coming days, offering a visible presence and support to local residents.
