Appeal following sexual assault by touching in Harrogate

We’re appealing for information about a sexual assault by touching that occurred in Harrogate.

It happened at approximately 8.30pm on Sunday 6 September, on The Stray, between Knaresborough Road and Wetherby Road.

The victim has been walking on The Stray when an unknown man has sexually assaulted her whilst running past her. The suspect has then ran off in the direction of Wetherby Road.

We’re appealing for information about the suspect or anyone who was in the area at the time, and who witnessed the incident.

The suspect has been described as a white man, skinny build, tall, wearing shorts, a blue/green running jacket and a white baseball cap.
