There continues to be sporadic offences of burglaries of sheds, garages and outbuildings at residential properties across the Craven District, particularly near the West Yorkshire and Lancashire borders. Tools, motorbikes and pedal cycles, including e-bikes are being targeted. These offences have reduced, but still occasionally happen.
Issued 11 June 2026
This remains our main priority in the South Craven area as offenders use the corridor between West Yorks / Lancs / North Yorkshire to commit crime.
We are still focusing our attention on the area providing crime prevention advice such as ensuring properties and vehicle are secure - this is still something we see regularly and is a quick fix - PLEASE LOCK YOUR DOORS- feel free to contact us for prevention advice, or a visit to look at your security arrangements.
