There has been a spike in ASB in the Greta Ayton area. The issues include door knocking/kicking and groups causing issues in businesses.
To add to this when the weather is good, Great Ayton attracts visitors from outside the area, gathering in fields and leaving litter.
Issued 09 June 2026
There has been an increase in high visibility patrols in the area, the community have been encouraged to report incidents, alongside this officers identifying incidents through foot and mobile patrols. There is a natural increase in incidents reported which is expected with the proactive policing and partner agency work.
Those involved have been identified or are in the process of being identified where appropriate action has/will be taken by Police or partners in the community safety hub.
We continue to engage with the Community and the Parish Council with updates and plans going forward.
