Our team is responsible for Neighbourhood Policing in the Stokesley area. We are based at Stokesley Police Station. Our ambition is to provide a neighbourhood policing service of which you, and we, can be proud. Prevention will be at the heart of our work, through well-informed collaborative problem-solving, building participation and strengthening the communities we serve. We will remain part of those communities, known and accessible to you, and policing in a way that both prevents harm and enhances your trust in us.

Anti Social Behaviour including low level offences.
Great Ayton & StokesleyAction taken:
At the start of the year we had seen a large increase in Anti Social Behaviour in Great Ayton, although incidents were occurring, proactive work from the Neighbourhood Policing Team and North Yorkshire Council Safety Team ensured accurate and increased recording. Proactive work helped identify more incidents, support victims and work with offenders. This has seen ASB Nuisance figures drop month on month with a small rise in July, which we expect in Summer months, however work already undertaken has kept those figures low.
We continue to monitor the area, particularly around young persons arriving by train, causing issues to and from he train station.
Stokesley has maintained similar figures throughout the year, we have had pockets of Anti Social Behaviour involving younger males, but we have also had a few issues with adults causing various issues. Again work is ongoing and we hope to update progress and actions taken in late September 2026. -

Rural Crime - Theft of Quad Bikes and Tools
Action taken:
This is an ongoing priority, we have seen a decrease in incidents however we Police a large area which always poses a risk. We work with our Rural Crime Team and Community Safety Hub to engage those in rural communities around target hardening and protecting property.
We also work with our colleague from Ryedale and Cleveland Police to provide a proactive presence throughout the year across the rural communities.
