Crimes and priorities
-
Priority:
Action taken:
-
Priority:
Our Resident's Voice survey has shown us that concerns around anti-social behaviour and street drinking is still a priority.
Action taken:
We will be patrolling hotspot locations based on reports from our community. Recently, we have attended Grosvenor Crescent and Falsgrave Road areas following complaints of street drinking and ASB.
To report, you can call 101 or visit our website at www.northyorkshire.police.uk -
Priority:
Reduce repeat demand from frequent callers and high-demand locations through early intervention, problem solving and partnership working
Action taken:
By addressing the root causes of repeat calls for service, officer time can be released to focus on proactive policing, increase visible patrols, and improve our ability to respond to and engage with the communities of Scarborough South.
-
Priority:
We need to overcome barriers when engaging with our communities. Calling 101 may not be the best practice to speak to a local officer, the email system may be more awkward for those without technological capabilities, or you may just fancy a good face to face chat.
Action taken:
Our Community Connections events are face to face, drop ins, where you don't need an appointment to attend.
We are increasing the frequency of our events and adding more locations.
You can find a list of locations further up this page, under the "meetings and events" tab
