NPT officers will be engaged in licensing checks and foot patrol within the West Cliff and Streonshalh areas of Whitby with enforcement of public order and licensing legislation and dispersal powers whilst supporting our local businesses and licensed premises which are at the heart of the community.

Operation Monsoon. Rural burglaries and acquisitive crime in Whitby, Esk Valley, Danby, Castleton, Mulgrave and Staithes. the Police team are currently investigating a spate of burglaries and thefts in the rural areas of Whitby in which quad bikes and agricultural machinery has been stolen.

High visibility patrols combined with public engagements and preventative work intended to detect and deter offenders and locate machinery and vehicles. A series of public meetings will be held over the festive period and into the new year to raise awareness and convey a message of crime prevention to vulnerable communities.

North Yorkshire Police are working in partnership with British Transport Police, North Yorkshire Council, as well as other agencies to tackle the anti-social behaviour around Whitby Train station.
