Our priority is to address behaviour that causes nuisance or negatively impacts the local community. Anti-social behaviour affects many people and will not be tolerated. The Neighbourhood Policing Team treats all reports of ASB seriously and deploys a dedicated ASB patrol vehicle to respond effectively. We work closely with schools and a range of partner agencies to identify those involved and take appropriate action to safeguard the community and reduce further incidents.

To proactively address reports of drugs supply across the York area and take positive enforcement actions
Issued 18 August 2026
We will continue to conduct targeted patrols to gather intelligence and disrupt individuals involved in the supply of drugs. As part of neighbourhood policing, officers will pursue all available lines of enquiry, including seeking warrants, to bring offenders to justice.
Officers have been carrying out regular foot patrols across the area, engaging with the community and responding to incidents as required. Patrolling on foot enables officers to access off‑road locations, alleyways, and other areas that are not easily reached by vehicle. This approach is highly effective in identifying and disrupting drug‑related activity within the community.
