Our Resident's Voice survey results have shown that Serious and Organised Crime (SOC) has been a priority to our residents.
Drugs, county lines and cuckooing form a part of SOC. We are committed to tackle, not tolerate these issues which arise in our communities.
Issued 09 October 2026
Within the last few weeks, we have already executed a drugs warrant in Northstead. We are building on community intelligence and looking to progress our investigations to carry out further warrants.
We have identified victims of cuckooing and those involved in county lines. We will be safeguarding our victims and actively seeking those who continue to cause issues in our neighbourhood.

With a recent fire at Gallows Community Centre, we are concerned that our green spaces, such as Gallows Field, Manor Park, the Cinder Track, Linden Road Park and Jonno's Field may become the target of those who want to act anti-socially and commit crime. We want to keep these green spaces useable, especially for families and children to play safely.
Issued 09 October 2026
Darker nights are coming as winter arrives, we will be increasing patrols in the green spaces areas and tackling off-road vehicles. We will increase the use of drones and other technological support to keep our communities safe.

We need to overcome barriers when engaging with our communities. Calling 101 may not be the best practice to speak to a local officer, the email system may be more awkward for those without technological capabilities, or you may just fancy a good face to face chat.
Issued 09 October 2026
Our Community Connections events are face to face, drop ins, where you don't need an appointment to attend.
We are increasing the frequency of our events and adding more locations.
You can find a list of locations further up this page, under the "meetings and events" tab
